ABOUT
Comedy in three acts.
Bernhard’s mother, a Jewish woman who was married to a Christian, wishes to be buried according to Jewish rites beside her husband in the municipal cemetery - a seemingly impossible undertaking. A rabbi is not permitted to conduct a burial there, while a Christian minister cannot perform Jewish rites. With time running out, Bernhard, his family who have travelled from Israel, and a Palestinian kiosk owner attempt to find a solution in increasingly absurd ways. Amid bizarre encounters and cultural paradoxes, they navigate the conflict with humour and ingenuity.
