ABOUT
"With Büschen Meschugge, the Jewish Chamber Orchestra Hamburg realized a concert series in 2025 that brought Jewish music and stories into unusual spaces across the city. The series combined concert, encounter, and narrative, and took place at venues such as the Elbphilharmonie, the Planetarium, the Uebel & Gefährlich, and the Panoramadeck above the rooftops of Hamburg. The goal was to make Jewish culture tangible, contemporary, and a lively part of everyday urban life.
As the Artistic Director and Conductor, I developed and shaped the curatorial concept, the dramaturgy, and the programs for the series. The core idea was to build bridges between tradition and the present—seriously, cheerfully, and 'a little crazy,' perfectly reflecting the spirit of the title."
